Requirements for Filing an Application for the Civil Service Exam

If you plan on filing an application for the Civil Service Exam - may it be the CSE-PPT (Career Service Exam - Pen and Paper Test) or the COMEX, here's a list of things you have to prepare: Fully accomplished Application Form (CS Form No. 100 (Revised November 2012)). You can download the form from the CSC website and print it out. You can also get the form directly from wherever CSC office you intend to file an application. When filling it out, remember that the spaces for “Signature of Applicant” and “Right Thumbmark” on the form should be left blank. These shall be accomplished in the presence of the CSC processor. Question: Fred is 4 years older than Barney. Five years ago the sum of their ages was 48. How old are they now? Represent the AGES NOW: Barney’s age: x Fred’s age: x + 4 (Because he is 4 years older than Barney) Represent the AGES five years ago:  Barney = x - 5 Fred = x + 4 - 5 = x -1 Represent the equation:  Equation for the sum of their ages : x - 5 + x - 1 = 48 2x - 6 = 48 2x = 48 + 6 x = 54/2 or 27 ANSWER:  Barney is now 27. Fred = x + 4 = 27 + 4 = 31 now. CHECK:  5 years ago, Barney was 27-5 = 22 5 years ago, Fred was 31-5= 26 The sum of their ages was 22+26 = 48

Civil Service Exam Qualifications: Can you take the CSE-PPT this year?

Contrary to what most people think, THERE ARE NO EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS for aspiring examinees. Regardless of your educational attainment, you can take the Career Service Examination, Paper-and-Pen Test (CSE-PPT) if you are: a Filipino citizen; At least 18 years old on the date of filing of application; Of good moral character; Has not been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude, or disgraceful or immoral conduct, dishonesty, examination irregularity, drunkenness, or addiction to drugs; Has not been dishonorably discharged from military service, or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government; and Has not taken the same level of Career Service Examination, regardless of mode, within the last three months before the date of examination. Civil Service Exam 2018 Schedule

After the March 2018 exams, the next Civil Service Exam will be conducted on August 12, 2018. You can start filing your applications this April 10, 2018 - up until June 22. Results of the March 18, 2018 exams are expected to be out on May 17, 2018 (60 days waiting period).
