March 2019 CSE-PPT Results - REGION 7 SUBPROFESSIONAL

THE RESULTS are OUT for the March 17 2019 Civil Service Exams!

The eligibility exams for both Professional and Subprofessional levels were conducted last March 17, 2019 (Sunday) at all CSC Regional testing centers nationwide.

Examinees may get their individual test results using the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS), which can also be accessed through the CSC website 15 days after the posting of the List of Passers.

Passers should coordinate and verify with the CSC Regional Office concerned regarding the availability of their Certification of Eligibility (CoE) and the requirements in claiming it.

A complete directory of the CSC Regional Offices is available at the CSC website. Passers must personally claim their CoE. Representatives are not allowed to claim the same. Claiming of CoE shall be available approximately 30 days after the posting of the List of Passers.

One of the most challenging parts of the Civil Service Exam is the set of Paragraph Organization questions. More often than not, most examinees also find this to be the MOST TIME-CONSUMING since you will have to read several sets of five or six long sentences.  To lessen the difficulty of this part of the CSE, you should use this GOLDEN RULE - scan and USE YOUR OPTIONS. Use the choices as your guide as you go through the following TIPS and TRICKS in answering PARAGRAPH ORGANIZATION questions (or, as what others call it - Questions on Parajumbled Sentences) TRICK #1: Find the OPENING SENTENCE The opening sentence is usually - but not always - the MAIN TOPIC of the paragraph. Question: Fred is 4 years older than Barney. Five years ago the sum of their ages was 48. How old are they now? Represent the AGES NOW: Barney’s age: x Fred’s age: x + 4 (Because he is 4 years older than Barney) Represent the AGES five years ago:  Barney = x - 5 Fred = x + 4 - 5 = x -1 Represent the equation:  Equation for the sum of their ages : x - 5 + x - 1 = 48 2x - 6 = 48 2x = 48 + 6 x = 54/2 or 27 ANSWER:  Barney is now 27. Fred = x + 4 = 27 + 4 = 31 now. CHECK:  5 years ago, Barney was 27-5 = 22 5 years ago, Fred was 31-5= 26 The sum of their ages was 22+26 = 48

I failed the exam and I feel like a loser. I am a complete failure. I failed the exam. I'm really stupid. If you've dealt with these horrible thoughts, read on... RELAX and DON'T PANIC Failing is NOT the end of anything. It doesn't define who you are. It doesn't define your life. Sure, it can be a sad and depressing moment of your life - but it's just that - a MOMENT. A temporary moment in your life that's bound to end sooner than you can imagine.  Take a deep breath and realize two things: - First is that YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Everyone fails or does poorly at an exam at some point in their lives. You're not isolated and it's NORMAL. Even if you're an exceptional genius (and I'm being redundant here), you can fail - and it's OK. - Second is that YOU CAN SUCCEED the next time you take the exam. This moment of failure is simply just another obstacle to overcome - an experience which will help you better yourself....
